My friend and neighbor Melissa Tarr, you may know her from her lovely Main Street shop Design of Mine (or from her daughter Bianca’s cafe, Castaways Vintage), shared this amazingly simple naan bread recipe. She makes it often and serves with warm hummus. I am planning to make it this week with a curry dinner. So excited to try this. Thank you Melissa!!
Ingredients
For the dough
- 250g/9oz plain flour
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 120ml/4fl oz milk
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil, plus extra for greasing
For the topping
- nigella seeds, poppy seeds or sesame seeds, or chopped garlic and fresh coriander
- 1 tbsp butter, melted, to serve
